The short version: most of our tools work inside your browser, so your files and numbers stay on your device. We collect only basic technical data to run and improve the site, we do not sell personal information, and our advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies to show ads. You can control that, and this page explains how.

This Privacy Policy explains how DailyOnWeb ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit https://www.dailyonweb.com and use our tools. It was last updated on Nov 6, 2026. By using the site you accept the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information we collect

Files and tool inputs

The files you open and the numbers you type are your own. For the vast majority of tools, processing happens locally in your browser and the content is never uploaded to us. A small number of tools need our servers or a trusted processing partner to do the work, for example converting Office documents to PDF or recognising text with OCR. For those tools, your file is transferred over an encrypted connection, used only to produce the result you requested and then deleted automatically after a short period. We do not read, sell, share or reuse the content of your files.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our servers and our service providers receive standard technical data when you load a page: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, language, the pages you visit, referring website, and the date and time of the visit. We use it to deliver the site, keep it secure, prevent abuse and understand which tools are useful.

Information you send us

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, your email address and the message you write. We use this only to answer you and, if needed, to improve the site. We keep support messages for as long as needed to resolve your request and for a reasonable period afterwards.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, preferences, analytics and advertising. See the section on advertising below and our Cookie Policy for details and your choices.

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain and secure the website and its tools.
  • To understand usage, fix errors and improve performance and design.
  • To answer your messages and requests.
  • To show advertising that helps pay for a free service.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse and security incidents.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

Advertising and Google

We display ads provided by Google and other advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites on the internet. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, ads that use cookies for personalisation are shown only with your consent, which you can change at any time. Opting out does not remove ads from the site; it means the ads you see are less relevant to your interests.

Analytics

We use privacy-conscious analytics, which may include Google Analytics, to measure visits, popular tools and technical problems. These services may set cookies and collect usage data such as pages viewed and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use the results in aggregate form and do not use them to identify you personally.

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on these legal bases: our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the site; your consent for advertising and non-essential cookies; performance of a request you make to us, such as answering a message; and compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with service providers who help us operate the site, such as hosting, security, analytics, advertising and file-processing partners, and only under terms that require them to protect it and use it for the agreed purpose. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the site.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses so that your information remains protected.

How long we keep data

Files sent to a server for processing are deleted automatically shortly after your result is created. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Cookie lifetimes are described in the Cookie Policy.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Residents of California have the rights described in the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information and the right to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.

To make a request, use the contact form and choose the topic "Privacy or data request", or email support@dailyonweb.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. If you are unhappy with our response you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children’s privacy

Our site is a general audience website and is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets a higher age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption, access controls and regular updates to protect the site and any data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect you.

Our pages may link to external sites and ads. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add a feature or when the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows the latest revision. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on the site.
